In part 1 of this 2-part series, we will look at the organism characteristics and typical inflammation patterns for some of the more common infectious agents to affect the eye: Fungi! We will cover the big 4 dimorphic fungi, as well as some patterns of hyphal fungi distribution and response. Part 2 will pick up with any fungi we missed, and then continue to protothecosis, intraocular bacterial infections, and episcleral onchocerciasis!
