In this workshop, Brandon Allen of New Work Revolution will be joining us to talk about developing teams through practicing a coaching style of leadership, with a specific focus on unexpected employee turnover, and how to avoid getting blindsided by one of our key employees unexpectedly handing in their resignation. We’ve all heard the advice to employees that you should never let your boss know you’re considering leaving until you have your new position locked down. And likewise, we are probably all familiar with the management “best practices” recommendation to terminate employees that are looking at other opportunities, or abbreviating a notice period from a departing employee with an abrupt escort to the door. But these “conventional wisdoms” place employees and employers in an antagonistic position that can be limiting to both, and damaging to company culture overall. Brandon will share ideas, insights, and strategies to help leaders build a culture based on mentoring, accountability, and trust.
